Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 29.07.2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all purchases made through wilastro.com ("the Website"), operated by Wil Astro ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order through the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
Business name: Wil Astro
Registered address: 71-75, Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ
Company number: 16040877
Contact email: info@wilastro.com
2. Our Products
We sell telescopes and related accessories, currently including products from the Seestar and Dwarf brands ("Products"). We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, images, and specifications on the Website are accurate, but slight variations between images and the delivered item (e.g. packaging updates by the manufacturer) may occur.
All Products sold through the Website are currently fulfilled and shipped by First Light Optics on our behalf, to addresses within the United Kingdom only.
3. Prices and Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
Payment is taken at the point of order.
We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors before an order is dispatched; if this happens, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price or cancel your order.
4. Orders and Contract Formation
Your order is an offer to buy the Product(s) in your basket.
A contract is formed once we send you an order confirmation email. Receiving an automatic acknowledgement of your order does not itself constitute acceptance.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order (e.g. in cases of stock unavailability or a pricing error), in which case you will receive a full refund of any amount paid.
5. Delivery
Products are currently shipped within the United Kingdom only, fulfilled by First Light Optics.
Estimated delivery timeframes will be shown at checkout and/or in your confirmation email. Unless otherwise agreed, goods will be delivered within 30 days of the contract being formed.
Risk in the Products passes to you once the goods are delivered to you or a person you've nominated to receive them. Ownership passes once we have received payment in full.
If delivery is delayed beyond what was agreed, please contact us using our Existing Order Contact Form and we will investigate with First Light Optics.
6. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without needing to give a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
To cancel:
Contact us via our Returns Form within 14 days of receiving your item.
You must then return the item within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel.
The item should be returned unused and, where possible, in its original packaging — telescopes are often supplied in fitted protective packaging that carriers require for safe return transit.
We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned item (or evidence of its return, if earlier), including standard delivery charges. You may be responsible for the cost of returning the item unless it is faulty or not as described.
This cooling-off right is separate from, and in addition to, your rights if an item is faulty.
7. Faulty or Misdescribed Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If your item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described:
Contact us as soon as reasonably possible using our Returns Form, including photos of the fault or damage where relevant.
Depending on the issue and how long you've had the item, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, and we will not seek to exclude or limit them.
8. Returns Process
Please see our Returns page for the practical steps to request a return, including the information we'll ask you to provide (order number, product, reason for return, and photos where relevant).
9. Liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Subject to the above, our liability for any single claim relating to your order is limited to the price you paid for the relevant Product.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that aren't a foreseeable result of us breaching these Terms.
10. Acceptable Use of the Website
You agree not to misuse the Website, including by attempting unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, or using the Website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
11. Intellectual Property
Content on the Website — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by us or licensed to us, and may not be reproduced without permission, except as necessary to use the Website for your own personal shopping purposes.
12. Your Personal Data
Information about how we collect and use your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Complaints and Disputes
If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@wilscruises.com so we can try to resolve it directly.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order is the one that applies to that order. We will post the current version on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
